| We are very pleased to announce that we have just become a
Whiteside Router Bit Dealer!! They are one of
a very few bits that are still made in the USA. They
have been a leader in the furniture industry for years.
In a test made by Fine Woodworking the ½ Whiteside straight cutting
bit out performed all of the 17 brands that they tested!
Unlike the bits imported from Italy, Taiwan and Israel this USA bit was
longer lasting did not break and cut more material than all the others. Tells a real story about made in America! The following will help you in selecting a router bit for a particular routing job |
1. Always
use the largest shank bit possible for the job. |
2. For
the best cut, select bits that allow for maximum chip removal. |
3. Avoid
single flute bits over 3/8
in diameter. |
| 5. Match the bit with the speed of your router |
Bit Size Max Speed |
||
| 0-1 24,000 RPM | ||
| 0-2 18,000 | ||
| 0-2 ½ 16,000 | ||
| 0-3 ½ 12,000 | ||
| 6. Always select a bit best matched for the job. | ||
| 7. Always buy Whiteside Router Bits, which stay sharper longer. | ||
